The extra buckle is great for putting the collar on a dog that wants to bite you. We have two shi poos and one in fine. The other is so hyper that when the snap snaps, he bites. It is also hard to keep the hair out of the snap and have the collar tight enough. With the new style, you snap it first, then put the collar around the neck and tighten it. Much better. I will say that a slight modification could make it even easier. That would be to attach the metal buckle to the collar so it can't slide off or move. A clasp like on suspenders would work, where it pinches the collar.

It has definitely helped with our large German Shepherd, but the extra hair around his neck makes it difficult to get right to the skin. I don't think he feels it sometimes. Also, collar moves to the side, presumably because it's not tight enough? It has definitely improved his barking, but he still barks when he really wants to.

We use this to correct our dog's barking at squirrels early in the morning. She was cured of it the first day of use. The extra buckle is a bit clumsy to use. It must be used, or the collar will come off. It would be nicer to just have a quick clip.

This bark collar works fine. However the nylon collar itself is somewhat of a hassle. The nylon collar has in addition to the plastic click buckle a regular metal buckle. It really serves no useful purpose and the bark collar would be easier to use if the metal buckle were left off the collar.

It not only saved my sanity but helped me get some sleep. My neighbors don't complain of barking at 5:30A.M. on Saturday and Sundays anymore.
