Have had the product for about 1 month now, and I had to shock my dog, only for one session. I have a Collie and he has a timid personality. He knew all the commands but would pick when it suited him to listen. Now all I have to do is put the collar on, and he listens to all my commands. The only problem I have has was getting the collar to contact his skin given that he has a lot of fur by his neck.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

I think this product was a great investment. I bought it for my new puppy who is very excitable and very large. Although he is a very well behaved puppy to begin with, he had a few minor behaviors that needed correcting, such as running off to the neighbors, or running away from me, when I would try to put him in his crate before I left for work. The SportDog collar made these particular behaviors easy to deal with and made him listen to me when he didn't want to. I would definitely recommend this collar, especially for annoying behaviors such as running towards the road or ignoring you when you are calling. It really makes a difference.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

I have been following the CD that came with the unit so the dog does not become smart about the collar. Every time I pick up the collar he knows it is time to go outside and have fun.
He is listening to all commands and only needs the stimulus when there are to many distraction.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended
