i am using the gate to keep my dogs on the main level until bedtime. moved my father in several months ago and he brought his female boston with him. not great on the housebreaking yet. my two males seemed to mark her spots with glee. the dining room and upstairs are now off limits. :)
I had two issues: 1, the drawing for how to join the two gate pieces was very tiny and was not helpful. had to figure out that one on my own. 2. you pretty much left us on our own re: fastening the gate to dry wall. i had to anchor the swinging part of the gate to drywall. i felt a toggle bolt the most appropriate option to secure the gate. however, when i attempted to snap on the hinge cap, it broke due to the rounded head of the toggle bolt. obviously, this is an integral piece and i'll be ordering another soon. too, for my needs, i would've been happy with a magnetic latch. thanks! when i get the bugs worked out, i think it will be a fine gate!Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

I love the gate! It just took awhile to get all the little parts put together. It helped to have another person help line it up to get it placed evenly on the banister and wall. It matches my wood railing fairly well.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended
