Our system covers 8 acres. We can now let the dogs roam freely without concern that they will chase after deer. The dogs very quickly associated the stimulation with the location of the flags. Now that they respect the perimeter the charge on the collars last about 3 days. Your local electrical supplier can sell the wire much cheaper if you have a large area to cover.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

Took 4 hours to install on 3/4 of an acre, we used the lawn staples and did not burry the fence. We trained our dog in a week - she learned very quickly, she is a very active standard poodle puppy. We live on a busy road and have lots of deer - our dog does not cross the fence. The only fault I have with the product is that the collar does not stay charged for more than 3 days. Otherwise - a fantastic product!!Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

I moved into a new house that didn't have a fence. I decided to try an invisible fence because it was cheaper than a traditional fence. Also, one of my two dogs is an escape artist and is never truely contained by a normal fence.
So far, this fence has worked great. Both dogs have run right through it a twice (I have the field width pretty narrow), but I think they have decided that that wasn't really worth getting zapped.
I also love the remote. I've used it to reduce their barking and have only needed to use the tone. After getting zapped (and beeped) by the fence, the beep is extremely effective by itself for behavior correction.
My dogs are 6 and 10 and neither one had much trouble learning their boundries. It does take a little time though - especially with two dogs since they have to be trained separately.
The only thing I'm disappointed about is that I thought that they would get beeped when close to the boundary (as a warning), then zapped when they crossed. This beeps and zaps all at once. The collars also don't keep a charge long, but I think I have faulty equipment (either collars or chargers) and the manufacturer is sending me new ones.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

Happy to report I installed the product myself with no problems in one weekend. Easiest way I found to install was with a gas power edger. Our Labrador has learned quickly to stay in the yard and the hand held training device is a plus.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

This trained my dog in 1 day!! Her behavior changed instantly!! She is a more lovable, respectful dog now that she has worn the collar.
However, the remote control and collar have only worked for the first 2 months. i have done everything and I can no longer get them to sinc with each other. That is a HUGE disappointment as the collar was my favorite part!Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

Our 8 month old puppies learned very quickly to stay out of the electrical field after receiving "stimulation"(I would say shock the "dickens" out of them, even set on minimum) once for the female, but it took three times for the male to be convinced he didn't want to try again! They will now stay in the yard without the collar being on the dog. I haven't removed all the white flags yet. Our system has been in use for 5 weeks.
I haven't attempted to use the remote yet.
I do find it difficult to fasten the collar, especially when it is cold outside.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

I bought this system for my collie, who thought sniffing down trails was more fun than staying in the yard. I constantly had to watch him when he was out of his pen.
I finally talked my husband into getting the underground fence. We enclosed 5 acres with 2000' ft of wire. Some was underground, like where it crossed the driveway, but most of it (through the woods) was above ground application, using ground staples.
Installation was not difficult, but my husband is an electrician, so this was right up his alley! The charged collar will last for 2-3 months, depending on how much you use the "train" feature on the collar with the remote. Only recharge the collar when the light on it begins to blink "red."
I taught my dog to "stay" in one day using the remote. Now, we can take nice walks on our country road with "NO LEASH" and he is like a dream come true!
He won't even go near the white flags after getting shocked twice in the first few days. Since my dog is easily trainable, I keep the system shock level on Low now. It's equivalent to about a "5" on the remote. Medium was too high and made him scream and his whole body was quivering while getting the shock. (Just being honest here)
Now, he can chase squirrels all day long, and he knows to stop before getting to the white flags! This system has brought freedom to both my dog and to me, to which I am truly grateful!
I highly recommend this system if you are constantly worried your dog will run off when he's let out of the house or pen. We all wished we would have bought it sooner. It is so worth the money!Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

I live in a rural area and our family dog died two years ago, leaving our yard unguarded and taken over by racoons, ground hogs, musk rats and stray cats who fought with my cats. Hundreds of dollars and many vet visits later I realized I had to get another dog. I adopted Husker from our local shelter, he is a two year old mixed breed who loves to chase cars and leave the yard at high speed. This system has changed his life and ours. My yard is a much safer place and with a dog I feel safer in my house. He learned the system quickly and we did use the remote in the training, it was an extra added training tool that cut down on training time along with the training DVD.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

I LOVE IT!! Couldn't have been easier to put down and I have had no problems out of it at all! I have a pit bull/boxer mixer and I live on a very busy highway. He is just 7 months old and was getting very adventurous. I could not be more pleased with his behavior now! I fenced in an entire acre of my back yard and he has plenty of room to roam free and play outside now. I have also noticed with the trainer he no longer makes messes in the house! Couldn't be happier!!Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

Works like a charm, easy to use and install, very versatile, super value! I priced having someone install a unit for me ($1,500) and by doing it myself saved about $1,000! I was able to install the unit in two evenings (5-6 hours total time).Would recommend this to a friend? recommended
