This in-ground fence has really changed my dogs life. I use to not be able to let him roam the yard without a leash because of the cars in our neighborhood and the possibility of him running away but now he can play freely and Im not constantly worried all the time. It took a week or two for him to get trained on the fence but now I just cant believe how good it works. Would recommend this to a friend? Yes

We tried using this training tool on our 10 month old Doberman
We know this breed is an inteligent breed and a quick study, but this invisible fence was a no brainer for us
It only took the dog once to associate the tone and the electrical zap for him to know not to cross over the line
I personally tested the collar on my fingers, and the electrical impulse will NEVER hurt a dog, it just startles them and gets their attention
Our Doberman runs freely now on our 2 acres estate, where before he had to be on a rope as he was prone to run off the property
The remote control is also a very wise investment for trainging as well, as it is a hands-on effect for excessive barking, tormenting other pets, etc.
Ths is the BEST thing money can buy and I strongly recommend the invisible fencing to anyone who would like a stress free life with their petsWould recommend this to a friend? recommended

We live on a ranch and are surrounded by cattle. A stray we adopted began chasing cattle and this product stopped that. The only problem is that two of the dogs joined forces and broke the bands on the collars repeatedly. If your dogs are rowdy with each other this is a concern.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

Purchased this product for my 5 month old German Shepherd to prevent her from running off too far.
Most beneficial to me is the remote which I use to prevent digging in the yard and bad behavior inside the house. Most cases only the tone is needed now.
Most time was spent digging the ditch to place the wire into.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

With Twenty years plus experience in above ground, remote, and underground fencing for dogs; I have successfully trained five dogs to area fences. Here is my advice to a newby.
Pros: Young dogs are much easier to train then dogs that have become accustomed to running. Your determination to be patient with your dog is a must and will payoff again and again in safety for your pet for years to come. Use the manufacturer's support line in training your dog and get a good overview of your task before you begin training. Not everyone is a dog trainer and YOUR attitude can make it harder then it is. Flags are a MUST and keep them up until you are sure your dog knows the boundary. Don't let him get use to going through the fence accidentally.
Begin telling yourself it will take WEEKS to train your pet to this fence. You will find it is much easier to hang in there with your pet for good and lasting habits.
CONS: It keeps your pet in but does not keep other dogs, cats and critters out as an above ground fence would. This can be agitating to your pet to not be able to defend his territory beyond the barrier. Other animal intrusions can also cause accidental run throughs. UGH. If your pet is extremely territorial hopefully you will be able to train him well enough that his/her focus will include the boundary and not just the intruder.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

Very pleased with the product. I installed over 2500 ft above ground and is working fine. Totaly changes a dog over night. Even the most aggreassive dogs are put in check.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

I own a jack russel/rat terrier mix dog named rosco. hes about a year old and hes is a VERY hyper dog and without the fence, I could never let him run outside because he would take off towards the main road. I finally decided to give an electric fence a try, and i decided to spend the money on this system because of the remote it comes with. I could never have asked for a more wonderful system. I love the remote... the second I got this in the mail, i started training rosco and it didnt take him long to pick up on everything. The remote really helps because I have cats that he likes to chase and just with the tone button (no shocking) he knows now to stay away from them. It only took him about a week to figure out where his boundries were, but hes a very smart dog. He did run through it once because my neighbors dog was outside, but he ran RIGHT back in and when he got shocked on the way back in, i dont think he liked that at all. He has not even tried to run past it since. If there are people walking down my road, he just runs around the boundies barking at them. Before he would chase bunnies all the way into the woods, it was awful. We had such a hard time catching him, nothing would distract him to stay in the yard. I was worried that the fence would not work with him, but since we installed it, he literally chanses the bunnies right to the edge and then finds something else to jump on. The fence is awesome, i love it and i will never go without one again. Now I can just let him run around outside and just watch from the deck. He comes back inside as soon as hes bored out there and its just been a life safer. If you are going to purchase an electric fence, I stronly recommened this one!!!Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

We recently purchased this system for a 15 lb Jack Russel Terrior since he had a bad habbit of being too fond of the doo doo after he went! After 2 days he was cured! Too bad you cant just rent one! But the fence system is the big plus to this setup. Sure it seems expensive at first, but just price out what it would be for seperate systems, and youre not too far from this one.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

How incredibly irritating that to get a second set of training contacts we have to order a whole nuther set of "accessories" a second set of trainers SHOULD come with the second collar - I just spent [$]and they wont send me a .50 item - ridiculous. The sound alerts alone work fine for training our high energy labs - honestly no shock is needed at all - they got it right away.Would recommend this to a friend? not recommended
