This product is great especially for the price. I have a pittbull who is very stubborn. I did not like the idea of using a shock collar but this one does the job of getting his attention without hurting him. I have had great success with this item.Would recommend this to a friend? Yes

Best aid to train a dog. I adopted my dog who had severe separation anxiety in addition to other problems. This has been a great aid to train him. He has become calmer and more obedient with this collar. The only issue may be that the batteries run out so soon. Other than that, it works great!Would recommend this to a friend? Yes

Our dog is extremely hyper! This device has allowed us to properly train her from a distance, especially during the times that she felt to need to run off. The collar grabs her attention long enough for her to focus on our commands despite distractions. It has proved to be a beneficial training device. Would recommend this to a friend? Yes

My JRT is quite stubborn, and ignore my command especially it is off the leash.
Ordered from the website, but the shipment took longer than stated.
Good product and easy to use, only after few walks, the dog is responsive to my command when off leash.
My dog now got more freedom and he is happier.
I would recommend this to new dog owner that found hard to train your dog.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

My dog was jumping fences and running off, not to mention tugging at the leash, despite my best efforts at consistency. I tried verbal commands, treats, and spankings, but nothing changed the jumping fences. With SportDog's collar, I was able to adjust the settings to a stimulus that would get the point across but wouldn't harm or traumatize my dog. She's still the same sweet, bubble, perky dog as ever, but now she is trained. The tone button was extremely helpful to wean her off the actual buzzes, although it's awkwardly situated on the transmitter so it's harder to hit both the tone and stimulus buttons at the same time, which is how the dog makes the connection. Every time I used the stimulus, I said "NO" and it didn't take long for my dog to understand my "no" meant "NO," even without the stimulus. She now walks right beside me when I say "heel" and as a result of being disciplined and trained is much freer and happier than before when I was always tugging her back on the leash. She is safer because she will stop and return to me as soon as I say "COME" which is especially important when she's near busy streets or is running toward an unsuspecting jogger.
The main concern I have with the product is that it will randomly turn off even with a new battery, so I have to make sure I check the light. Once, even though the light was blinking every second, indicating a strong battery, it just turned off. So the one-blink-every-four-seconds as an indication of a weak battery didn't help. That was a bad night because she ran off through the woods at night because it just stopped working. Because I have to have it on her all day at work, it uses up the battery pretty quickly, which run at about $7 or $8 a package, so I have to replace them about every 9 days.
But it was the best decision I ever made as a dog owner and now my dog is happier, more disciplined, and ironically freer than she has ever been. I never use a leash now, not even on my runs!Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

We recently got ourselves another APBT and he is thee most stubborn dog we have ever had! So I decided to buy this collar after seeing the price compared to many other places and the reviews for it. It is the greatest thing I have ever bought. He responds to it and I don't feel like a meany getting after him all the time!Would recommend this to a friend? recommended
