Started using the collar the day it arrived in the mail, and it started working on my dog instantly. I dont have to worry about leaving my dog at home anymore to bark all day long. I wish I would have used this product a lot sooner.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

This collar is great! My dogs barked at everything and nothing. Our house is now much calmer and quiter. It worked almost instantly on my 80lb Rhodesian Ridgeback Mix. It has not worked as well on my lab mix who has very thick fur. It seems to only sporadically detect when he barks so it's not real consistent. But, the information pamphlet does recommend trimming the fur, our dog just will not let us do that. It also interferes with the invisible fence collar (causes it to go off if wearing both) so when the dogs go outside we have to switch collars. Overall, I think this is a great product for controlling barking and for us works great while the dogs are indoors.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

I've had this for about 6 months. My dog barks at everything and everyone. He is very loud and obnoxious. He barks at friends when they come over, neighbors when they're outside in their own yard, and strangers alike. He barks at loud trucks, thunder, and me rolling the trash can to the road.
This collar has shut him up. He can still bark a couple of times before it corrects him, so that is good, but he no longer barks too much.
This thing starts with a beep on the first bark, corrects at a low level shock on the second bark, and raises the correction level with each consecutive bark. After several seconds of not barking, this cycle is reset back to the beep with the first bark. He can bark up to his correction/pain tolerance threshold and then he stops barking. I like the fact that he can still be a dog and bark, but just not too much.
Now he doesn't bark as much, unless it is necessary. He has, however, figured out he can growl without it correcting him. So I had to get a second collar with a remote control so that I can manually correct him when friends come over. That seems to work well.
Sometimes when he shakes his body, the beep goes off, but he doesn't shake long enough for it to correct him with a shock.
Also, I've gone through 3 batteries in 6 months. So if your dog barks as much as mine, you'll need to keep an extra pack handy. But then again, you wouldn't be looking at a product like this if your dog didn't bark a lot. So go ahead and order an extra pack of batteries.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended
