Our high energy 60 lb goldendoodle learned her limits in about one minute. Pepper has learned her limits and doesnt even get with 15 feet of her board. She has been reminded a couple of times when I forgot to take off her collar and had her jump in our car. Its a great product and has put our mind at ease whenever we open the door to let her out.Would recommend this to a friend? Yes

As an owner of a 30 lb beagle that's life ambition was to escape my fenced in back yard in the pursuit of squirrels and other woodland creatures, the PetSafe standard radio fence has been a blessing. It was easy to install (I actually layed the line over the top of my fence) and only buried the line in front of my 2 gates. Since installed, my feisty beagle quickly learned the limits of the fence and has yet to even try an escape.
All kidding aside, this fence probably saved my beagles life as he was digging/chewing/jumping my wooden fence on a daily basis and had used up the majority of his 9 lives (sorry for the cat pun), dodging cars in our neighborhood.
BTW, besides being easy to install, you can't beat the price! Thanks PetSafe!Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

Didin't know any other way to get this message out - NO YARD IS TOO SMALL FOR A RADIO FENCE! You can add a $2(2 pack)inline 10-ohm resistor that can be purchased at Radio Shack to "weaken" the strength of the signal. Simply twist into the wiring on one of the wires by the connector on the unit. [...]Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

I have a yellow lab and when he makes up his mind to go through it he goes. I can see him flinch and squerm as he bust out but it doesn't stop him. Some how he lost one of the little electric pins that deliver the shock to him. I have been searching the site and can't find where to order another... oh well.Would recommend this to a friend? not recommended

I have a 30lb Sheltie mix, he has took to the fence with ease. The instalation was a breeze we worked on it for about 2 nights and finished on a Saturday. I took the flags down after about 2 weeks and he is doing great. I wish I would have done this for my last dog. He would have loved it.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

I was pleasantly surprised to find how quickly and easily the fence worked even for our stubborn beagle. We use it at our family's house when we visit or go out of town. They don't have a fence, so we just roll out the invisible fence and plug it in. We decided not to bury it, but roll it up on a large hose wheel as its use it only temporary, but often. After just a few short training days, our beagle now knows his territory and doesn't even come close to crossing the line. Even when their free roaming boston terrier goes out of bounds, our dog patiently waits for his return instead of chasing after him. If used in this temporary manner, I suggest laying out the line in the same way everytime, as your dog will learn to know his roaming space. And the training you provide for your dog really will determine the success with this product. Even after leash training we watched very closely for his behavior with the fence before letting the other dog out.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended
