This was a last resort for us, but I have been pleasantly surprised. The first time the our two Shih Tzus barked it scared them. After that they have been so quiet. It has been amazing! They can look out the windows and see people going by and do not bark crazy anymore. People can come in and out of our house without all the noise. You must have the collar tight for it to work. After a few weeks I am able to keep the collar loose on their necks without actually having it on. Soon I'm hoping they won't need it at all.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

I think for a dog with a thick neck, this collar would work fine. I have Shih-Tzu - 6 months old the collar will not stay in place. It slides to the side.

My yorkie barks alot when I'm away. This collar is lightweight, fits her perfectly. Best of all, no barking when I'm gone. My neighbor is very pleased! Drawback: expensive battery that I have to order online. Would be better if it was rechargeable battery, or easy to get at a store nearby.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

Unfortunately, no matter how the collar was fitted, loose, one finger space, tight, on my yorkie's neck, it turned. Allowing her to bark without correction.Would recommend this to a friend? not recommended
