PetSafe Deluxe Radio Fence

I have a young and hyper dog. Medium/Large size. About 10 months old now. When he got about 6 or 7 months old he would run off with his friend from down the street. I did not want him to get hit by a car or shot by someone.. So I got this. It took about 2 weeks or less to get it set correctly and for him to understand it. Burying the wire was a pain even having the proper trenching equipment. But I did a decent size area. It took almost 2,000 feet of wire. I like it. My dogs friend can still come over and play and they are safe..Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

I love this product it has kept my stubborn Cocker Spaniel in my yard. I have no gates over my diveways but my dog can not go out the drive because of the containment system but the car drives over it without damaging it. I live in semi rural area and fences would not keep any dog in, so options were spend $1000's on fixing the fences or use the system. I'm the wife of the house and I easily installed it myself and have altered it since as we have renovated and changed the dogs restriction areas. This system is flexible, effective and easy. I have already recommended it to other friends. The only down side is when the power goes out the fence is off but it usually still works because the dog thinks it's still there, after a while they no longer test the boundary but refuse to go to it so they don't know when the power is off.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

I replaced the 20 ga wire which came with the unit with a 1000 ft of 16 ga wire heavy insulated wire. Because I was placing the wire in an area of roots and rocks, I rented a small trencher to lay the wire which saved alot of time and prevented hard work. With the help of two friends, I had the system up and running with the project completly finished in about 4 1/2 hours. I saved over $1200 by doing the project myself.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

Gives my dog expanding roaming room behind my garden home. I also purchased a second collar for my grandchildren's dog that has been trained using a system like this but their collar is much larger. I am also impressed with the battery life.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

This is by far the best dog investment you will buy for your peace of mind as a dog owner and dog lover.[...] Its was the first home project when i got back from iraq it was simple to install done in one day only cause i took my time.We covered about 1 1/2 acres for 2 med. size dogs sheppard/lab and (lab/border) collie or the runner as i (called) her in 2 days OHHHH THEY GOT IT.They are much calmer i can leave the doors open and have no worries about them runnig off i can go across the street to swimm and leave them unsupervised and not worry about them.No more running into the street or chassing the people walking their dogs on the street they can now just be DOGS DOGS DOGS DOGS and thats the best part of all of it and thats what changes their whole behavier and demeaner i would most defintly recamend this to anyone that would like to let thier dog or dogs be dogs again worth every penny thank you so very much pet-SUPER-store.com your o.i.f vet. it makes being home that much better thank you from freedom N.H.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

Did about 1 1/2 acres. Hardest part was buring the wire. I got an extra roll at the hardware store, a little thicker, and liked it much better than the thin wire that comes with the kit. But it works great and within a few weeks our 8 month old puppies were staying in the boundaries all the time, even when we weren't around.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

I have a very active and friendly 10 month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Max. His main objective is to greet everyone he sees. Before installing the Petsafe Deluxe Radio fence we always had Max on a leash when ever we took him outside. Now I can let him run around the yard without worry. I moved my Bernese Mountain Dog from the farm in Ohio to a two acre yard in Connecticut. I ordered the PetSafe system from Pet Super Store online and am very pleased with the results. I had ordered an extra collar and was very pleased when a lady named Katie call to confirm my order and informed me that I had ordered the wrong collar. The instructions were clear and the fence was installed easily. It did take longer than expected, but compared to having a fence of the same quality installed, we saved $1,000. The additional time was probably because the fence is installed in a primarily natural area. We also purchased a basic UPS (backup power supply) from an electronics store in case the power goes out. Training is key and our Beagle understood the concept in three days. He now has almost an acre to play in (front and back yard). He loves it and so do we!Would recommend this to a friend? recommended

We used this invisible fence type system to enclose our five acres. With deer and coyotes in the area our dog was starting to wander too much. The system was extremely easy to install. Our total install time was less than 6 hours. Our dog adjusted to the system very quickly. From a pricing standpoint, our total cost was about 1/3 the price of the name brand product.Would recommend this to a friend? recommended
