These cat doors have been designed to be one of the most durable pet doors on the market today. The cat flaps are made from a high impact Polycarbonate plastic which increases the life of your pet door. This is the same plastic that is used to make aircraft windows and bulletproof vest. Even though we used high tech materials to build this cat door, its installation is very simple and the home handy man can install this pet door with no problems at all. If stray cats become a problem, you can always upgrade to the magnetic cat door by purchasing the upgrade kit.
